At the heart of our community, the Rockport Public Schools promote intellectual curiosity, academic excellence, and pride in achievement. These qualities provide the cornerstone for successful college, career, and life-long learning experiences.
For more than 20 years, the Educational Foundation for Rockport (EFR), with the help of generous community donors, has expanded the educational and life experiences of Rockport’s students by underwriting targeted enrichment programs for grades K-12.
Recently funded programs have enabled students to:
- • Enhance business, leadership, and communication skills through DECA projects and competitions
- • Explore the history of the American Revolution on site in Lexington and Concord
- • Conduct field studies in local salt marsh ecosystems
- • Strengthen etiquette, social skills, and cultural awareness through 5th grade ballroom dance instruction and performance
- • Engineer and road test an electric-powered car for competitive racing
- • Expand learning opportunities in science and the humanities through Virtual High School online classes
Through these and other initiatives, the EFR seeks to enhance the curriculum and broaden opportunities for students Kindergarten through 12th grade. We are an all-volunteer organization so 100% of your donation has a direct impact on students in the Rockport Public Schools.
Please help us meet our $100K goal for 2015-2016 and join us in building an exciting and more diverse experience for our students.
